What is CREN?
 
The Commercial Real Estate Network (CREN) is an internet-based commercial real estate information network created specifically for the use of Commercial REALTORS® throughout the Capital Area. Due to the complex nature of commercial brokerage CREN is NOT an MLS and is not intended to be used for the purpose of making offers of cooperation and compensation. The goal of CREN is to:
  • Unite REALTORS® in the Capital Area who focus on commercial real estate.
  • Become the most comprehensive and up-to-date source of commercial real estate listings throughout the Capital Area.
  • Encourage the exchange of specialized information among Commercial practitioners.
  • To assist in advancing the economic growth of the community by effectively exerting a beneficial influence on commercial real estate.
 
CREN is Extremely Flexible
 
The public aspect of this website along with the private password protected features make this service extremely flexible. Through the use of both a public and private portion to this database Users will enhance their networking ability. CREN allows Users to communicate with other commercial specialists.

CREN is easy to navigate and enables multiple property categories to be submitted and updated with ease. After entering a only a handful of required information Users can add as much or as little as they want through the use of an open ended remarks section that allows Users to publish additional detail about the property.

Also, since a picture paints a thousand words, this site easily allows Users to upload multiple images directly to their listing. The User makes the determination when to share property information with the public. Finally, within seconds and after only a few keystrokes Users can can access information on available properties.

How to Sign Up
 
In order for you to become a User of CREN your firm must first become a Participant in the service. In order to become a Participant in CREN the Designated REALTOR® must submit a completed participation agreement. This agreement states that the Participant will abide by CREN's Rules and Regulations; arbitrate contractual disputes with other Users; and adhere to the Code of Ethics of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®.

There is no fee to the company. However, any individual within the company seeking to use the service must pay a fee. CAAR REALTORS® may access CREN for a flat one-time set-up fee of $100.00 per User and a monthly usage fee of $50.00. Non-CAAR REALTORS® may access CREN for a flat $250.00 set-up fee per User and a monthly usage fee of $50.00. There is no charge to submit properties to the service.

Once you've signd up you'll need internet service along with your user ID and password to access the listings database at www.caaronline-mis.com.
